少しずつコツコツと色数を増やしています。
現在、全22色。
並べると画材箱を開けたようにわくわくします。
触れていて気付いたのは、季節を感じ心に耳を傾けながら器に注ぎ込む時は無心であり、火を灯す時にはまた何かを想うということです。
それはまるでお茶を点てるような、花を生けるような、静かで豊かな感覚を味わえます。
はじめは扱いに戸惑うこともあるかもしれないけれど、かさねていくたびにちょっとずつコツがつかめていきます。
それでも、いつでもどんな出来上がりでも、灯した時に報われるような力強い温かさが灯りにはあるように思います。
きっと、灯りが語りかけてくるのに耳を傾けるのは、唯々、自分に戻る体験なのだと思います。

I’ve been steadily, little by little, increasing the number of colors.
There are now 22 in total.
When arranged together, they bring a sense of excitement—like opening a box of art materials.
What I’ve come to notice through working with them is this: when I pour the wax into a vessel, attuning myself to the season and listening inward, my mind becomes quiet, almost empty. And then, when I light the flame, something begins to arise again—something to reflect on.
It feels akin to preparing tea, or arranging flowers—quiet, yet deeply rich.
At first, it can be unfamiliar to handle, but with each layer, you gradually begin to understand it.
Even so, no matter how it turns out, there is a certain strength and warmth in the light that makes it feel worthwhile the moment it is lit.
Perhaps, listening to what the light has to say is, in the end, simply an experience of returning to oneself.
